HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Progress continues on the Project Clarity efforts for Lake Macatawa and the Macatawa Watershed. Officials say that, in 2015, major projects at the Middle Macatawa area in Zeeland Township and the Haworth initiative in Holland created 91 acres of restored wetland with a total of 164 acre-feet of water storage. In the nearly two years since Project Clarity began, over 10 million dollars have been raised, five wetland and streambank restoration projects have been completed, 350 acres were donated or purchased for restoration, and a mile and a half of two-stage ditches completed.
