TALLMADGE TOWNSHIP, MI (WHTC) – A 79-year-old Grand Rapids man has died of injuries suffered in a two-car crash in Ottawa County’s Tallmadge Township. James Felty died early Friday morning at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital. He had been critically injured in the crash about 2:45 Thursday afternoon at Ironwood Drive and Johnson Street. Sergeant Steve Austin is with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department says Felty was driving westbound on Johnson Street and failed to stop for the stop sign at Ironwood Drive. His car was struck by a pickup truck driven by 18-year-old Myles Clifford of Walker. A 15-year-old passeger in Clifford’s truck, Emma Woodock of Walker, was injured and is in stable condition. Austin says Felty was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
