HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – DeVos Fieldhouse will be dark on Wednesday and Thursday evening (Jan. 5-6, 2021), and no bus from Holland will be heading to the middle of the mitten as well.
Hope College officials said on Tuesday that the scheduled basketball games between Hope’s men and visiting Trine on Wednesday, as well as the women’s contests at Alma on Wednesday and home against Illinois College on Thursday, have been “postponed due to COVID (health) protocols,” according to a school statement. “Makeup dates are to be determined.”
These are the first such matches affected by the novel coronavirus this season.
Hope made no immediate mention as to whether the scheduled Saturday men’s/women’s basketball doubleheader against visiting Olivet at DeVos Fieldhouse would be played.
