Alberta Miedema, age 92 of West Olive, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021. Alberta (Bert) was born March 20, 1929, in East Saugatuck to John and Hattie (Kempker) Ortman. She was a member of West Olive CRC and in her later years, worked as a cashier at Target. Preceding her in death was her husband James Miedema in 2013.

She is survived by her children, Kris (John) Ermatinger, James D. Miedema, Jodi (Tom) Clarke, Amy Miedema-Barba; Grandchildren, Sarah (Chris), Laura (Nathan), Travis, Angela, and Stepfanie; Great Grandchildren, Luke, Liam, Joseph, and Adleigh; siblings Sherman Ortman, Beverley (William) Tamminga, Harold (Jan) Ortman; In-laws, Louise Ortman, Kathy (Dennis) Merizon; many extended family and friends.
