William “Bill” Lubbers, age 58 of Hamilton, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021, at Holland Hospital. Bill was born April 25, 1963, to Gerard and Annabelle Lubbers in Holland. He was a lifelong resident of the area. Bill was a member of Saugatuck Christian Reformed Church where he served as an elder and deacon for many years. He worked for Westshore Construction and later for the City of Holland in the transportation department.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Gerard Lubbers in 2004; father-in-law Eddie Zachary in 2004; and his brother-in-law Al Engelsman. He is survived by his wife Lori; son Andrew (Alexis) Lubbers; his beloved granddaughter Elaina; mother Annabelle Lubbers; mother-in-law Arlene Zachary; siblings Cindy Engelsman, Thomas (Nanette) Lubbers, and Sally (David) Hutta; in-laws Kathy Sears, Cheryl (Darwin) Van Orman, Edward (Theresa) Zachary; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services to celebrate Bill’s life will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Graafschap Christian Reformed Church, 5973 Church St., Graafschap. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Wednesday, December 1 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland. Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Neighbors.
