HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested one person for domestic abuse, after a high-speed chase late Wednesday.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Nicholas Knott indicated police were called just before 10 p.m. to Holland Township, near 136th Avenue and Quincy Street on the report of a violent situation involving a vehicle.
Attempts to make a traffic stop led to the pursuit, which ended on eastbound I-196, near M6 — but only after police deployed spike strips to stop the suspect’s car, and the suspect’s car hit a police vehicle.
Knott did not disclose any details about the suspect, but noted they are in Ottawa County Jail pending arraignment on multiple charges.
This incident remains under investigation.
