James “Jamie” Kelley, Jr., age 45, of Kentwood, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at the Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN.
Jamie was a generous, caring, and fun-loving man who was always ready with a joke or prank and loved his family and pets. He found joy in working with his hands…everything from artwork and drawing to autobody and wood and leatherworking. His interests included fishing, football, cooking, drag racing, and, of course, sweets!
Jamie was preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen Lopez-Baber; grandfather, Joe Kelley; and aunt, Melissa De Koster.
Jamie is survived by his wife, Heather; children, Jordan (Aaron) Taylor of Kingsley, MI, Tristan Herrera, Ian Kelley; grandson, Hudson Taylor; parents, James (Karen) Kelley of West Olive; brother, Brad (Aimee) Kelley of Holland; parents-in-law, Carol (Shane) Knight of Kentwood, David (Angie) Forsten of South Carolina; sister-in-law, Lauren Herrera of Kentwood; brothers-in-law, Joshua (Misty) Forsten of West Olive, Edward (Tammy) Forsten of Kentucky, Benjamin (Tracy) Herrera of Holland, Matthew (Kaylyn) Herrera of Zeeland; and 19 nieces and nephews.
A time of remembrances is planned for 4:00 pm Friday, November 19 at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E 16th St., Holland with visitation following from 5:00-7:00 pm.
