Federal offices, courts, banks, credit unions and the US Post Office are closed on this day, which is dedicated to honoring those who have served in the U.S. Amy, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Merchant Marine services.
Holland Public Schools’ annual Veterans Day program features keynote speaker and US Air Force Major Peter Farion.
The district’s program will be aired started at 11:05 a.m. today on 997 and 1450 WHTC.
The Holland American Legion Band, which celebrates its 101st anniversary this year, will host a concert honoring veterans at 7:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Holland, at 57 W. Tenth Street in Holland.
The Gilmore Car Museum is offering free admission to veterans through Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021, in Kalamazoo County’s Hickory Corners. The museum, which opened in 1966, features 300 vintage and collected vehicles and motorcycles on its 90-acre property.
