DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Tigers have acquired catcher Tucker Barnhart from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for infield prospect Nick Quintana. Barnhart is a two-time Gold Glove award winner and had spent his entire eight-year MLB career with Cincinnati.
Detroit had been looking at adding another catcher with Jake Rogers expected to miss most of 2022 as he recovers from Tommy John surgery.
