HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Five people suffered what police called non-life-threatening injuries after a four-vehicle crash Tuesday morning.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Koster indicated deputies were called to the 44th Street and 14th Avenue intersection, in Georgetown Township just before 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021.
Police learned a 28-year-old Hudsonville woman driving north on 14th Avenue when went through a red light at the 44th Street intersection.
Her car was hit by a car with a 58-year-old Hudsonville man, who had been driving east on 44th and had the green light. The Hudsonville woman’s car then hit a car stopped for the light at the intersection, sending the third car into a fourth car, also stopped at the red light.
The force of the crash set off airbags in all involved vehicles, according to Koster.
Aa 3-year-old boy in the Hudsonville woman’s car went to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, accompanied by the 28-year-old Hudsonville woman. She also reported injuries, according to Koster.
The Hudsonville man, and two children who were passengers in his car, also went by ambulance to area hospitals for evaluation and treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The drivers of the other two cars were not injured, and did not have passengers, according to Koster.
