HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A car-pedestrian crash just after 7:30 this morning sent a 12-year-old girl to Holland Hospital with possible internal injuries, along with bumps and bruises.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Dill said the crash happened at 136th Avenue, just south of Greenly Street in Holland Township, when the girl stepped into the path of a northbound vehicle.
The 41-year-old Holland man driver the car was unable to avoid hitting the girl, Dill said in an email to the media, adding the driver stopped and called 911.
The crash remains under investigation, but Dill indicated that alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in this crash.
