Billy J. Boes, age 74, of Zeeland, passed from this earth to heaven to be with Jesus forever Wednesday, September 15, 2021. He died at Zeeland Hospital with his family by his side.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon; his children and grandchildren: Susie and Tom Eakley (Kennedi), Dan and Monika Boes (Samantha and Matthew Steckel, Zoe Boes, and William Boes); his twin sister Betty and Dale Vander Laan; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Scott and Jaci Vruggink, and Shelly and Sam Hansen, and many nieces and nephews
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret Boes; his sister and brother-in-law, Marcia and Ken Russell, his brother and sister-in-law Robert and Betty Boes, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Junior and Ethel Vruggink, and his sister-in-law, Susanne Jane Vruggink.
Billy loved God and attended Community Reformed Church and Central Wesleyan Church. He worked for 30 years at Kalkman Redi Mix and was a co-owner of Brookview Lawn Care from where he retired in 2017. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1-3 and 5-7 pm Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland. The funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday, September 22 at Community Reformed Church, 10369 Felch Street, Zeeland. Interment will be in Zeeland Cemetery.
