COOPERSTOWN, NY (WKZO AM/FM) – Derek Jeter and Ted Simmons will be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame today after ceremonies were cancelled last year due to COVID-19.
Jeter grew up in Kalamazoo and played his entire 20 year career with the New York Yankees.
Simmons was born in Highland Park and played with the St. Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee Brewers and the Atlanta Braves over 21 years in Major League Baseball.
The pair join executive Marvin Miller and former player Larry Walker in the class of 2020.
