HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 39-year-old Holland Township man has turned himself in to police after a fatal car-pedestrian crash that killed 36-year-old Kentwood resident Valerie Batema, 36.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Capt. Jake Sparks said the man, whose name is not being released, pending arraignment. Sparks noted the man is cooperating with police.
The crash happened in the early morning hours of Aug. 15, 2021, and Batema was declared dead at the scene.
