GEORGETOWN TWP. MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Looking for something to do this Sunday Aug. 15, 2021?
Lakeshore Visual Arts Collective will be hosting a pop-up art sale, from 1 to 4 p.m., at Grand Ravines North County Park. Over 30 artists will be displaying and selling works in a wide range of media, frm painting and photography to jewelry, blown glass, sculpture, ceramics and more. Organizers say that many of the creations are “inspired by nature and natural spaces, including works of local parks’ landscapes.”
Besides the art work, there will be live music by the Lost Valley Dulcimers, along with a cash bar. A $5 suggested donation at the door, along with a percentage of the artists’ sales, will benefit the Ottawa County Parks Foundation. If there is inclement weather on the 15th, a rain date is the following Sunday, August 22nd.
The Grand Ravines North County Park is located at 9940 42nd Avenue, just south of the Grand Valley State University main Allendale campus. Due to construction blocking Cottonwood Drive to the southeast, visitors are asked to reach the site from the west from Fillmore Street or Lake Michigan Drive.
