HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Storms that knocked out power to close to 200,000 Consumers Energy customers affected Ottawa County Fillmore Complex in West Olive.
The facility is closed because of the power outage, according to county officials.
“This includes the Sheriff headquarters, Clerk, and Treasurer offices as well as today’s inmate visits at the jail and hearings in the West Olive court. Other locations such as Holland, Grand Haven and Hudsonville are operating and providing services and hearings,” the email from county officials read.
Many areas in West Michigan remain without power. In Coopersville alone, dozens of trees were uprooted or snapped. See a photo gallery from Coopersville resident Cynthia Timmerman: http://whtc.com/site/image?id=414492
