OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – If you get a phone call from Lansing, don’t hang up immediately.
That’s the message from Ottawa County officials as a total of 400 randomly selected county residents will be asked a series of questions on their satisfaction of local government services, priorities, tax burdens, communications preferences and more. Begun last Tuesday (Aug. 3, 2021) and conducted by Lansing-based EPIC/MRA, the Ottawa County Citizen Survey should take less than 15 minutes to complete.
“The information from the survey will help County leaders improve services, develop strategic plans, prioritize programs, allocated funds, and improve communication,” Ottawa County Communications Manager Shannon Felgner said in a statement.
The county has conducted such canvases on a bi-annual basis since 2006, but didn’t hold one last year due to the COVID 19 outbreak that disrupted normal services and routines.
According to the county, results from this year’s survey are expected to be presented to the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners at a meeting early this fall. Reports from previous surveys are available through the county’s website.
