Jean Wyngarden, 96, of Zeeland, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.
Jean was born in Ludington, Michigan, on December 1, 1924, the child of Andrew and Sena (Anderson) Forsleff. Jean married Jack Wyngarden and they raised their children in Zeeland and were members of Vriesland Reformed Church. Jack preceded her in death in 2013 after 70 years of marriage. Jean was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Kelli Jo Jacoby, her great-grandson Aaron, and her great-grandson Aris Melton.
Jean is survived by her children: Sandra and Bob Vander Sloot, Jackie and Jack Van Dort, Jill and Will Barclay, Henry “Butch” and Kathy Wyngarden, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, 22 great-great-grandchildren, and many extended family members.
A funeral service will be held at 3:30 pm, Monday, August 9, 2021, at the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland MI 49464. The Rev. Jim Zinger will officiate. Visitation will be 2:30-3:15 pm prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Resthaven Maple Woods or Hospice of Holland.
