DETROIT, MI (WKZO-AM/FM) – Detroit dropped a 4-3 decision to Baltimore Friday in the second game of a four-game series at Comerica Park. Starting pitcher Tarik Skubal gave up three solo homers in 5-1/3 innings, two to Pedro Severino, in taking the loss.
The Tigers scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth, but could come no closer. Miguel Cabrera made a bid for a grand slam on a hit to deep center field, but it was caught at the fence and Miggy had to settle for an RBI sac fly.
Tonight’s pitching matchup features Matt Manning going up against the Orioles’ John Means.
