ANN ARBOR MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A non-profit organization is looking for a few good trees in Michigan, with one requirement…they have to be tall.
ReLeaf Michigan is once again hosting its Michigan Big Tree Hunt contest in an effort to find the tallest trees in the state.
Officials with the Ann Arbor-based group say that the trees can be found anywhere, from state parks to backyards.
Prizes will be awarded for the tallest tree in each county, for the overall largest tree discovered by different age groups, and for the tallest white pine, Michigan’s official tree.
Entries are being accepted through Aug. 19, and can be made at https://www.releafmichigan.org/big-tree-hunt.html.
