HOLLAND, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A woman is dead after a Holland Township camper fire.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sheriff’s Capt. Jake Sparks indicated deputies were called to the fire, at Drew’s Country Camping 12850 Ransom St., near 128th Avenue in Holland Township, just after 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2021.
The camper was already engulfed in flames.
Once Holland Township firefighters put out the blaze, crews found a woman inside, dead. Her name and other identifying information is withheld, pending notification of family.
Sheriff’s Capt. Jake Sparks indicated the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Michigan State Police Fire Marshall officials have been called in to investigate.
