HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A beach-hazards statement is in effect until late Thursday, June 24, 2021, according to National Weather Service meteorologists in Grand Rapids. The statement applies to beaches in the following counties: Ottawa, Muskegon, Mason, and Oceana.
Beach visitors can expect to see high waves, with unseen strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions. Piers will be swamped with waves. People should stay out of the water and off the piers, according to authorities. Inexperienced boaters should also stay on dry land.
