HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — The Zeeland Zoom went virtual during the pandemic, but organizers say it’s back, set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021, in downtown Zeeland.
Now in its 12th year, the Zoom has see thousands running 3.1 miles though downtown Zeeland’s historic streets, though during the pandemic, they ran individually, at different days and times.
The annual 5k race is professionally timed, using a ChronoTrack mat from start-to-finish line.
This year’s course starts on Main Avenue in front of the U.S. Post Office. 155 E. Main, then heads east on Main to Fairview; south on Fairview to Lincoln; west on Lincoln to Elm; north on Elm to Central; east on Central to Division; north on Division to Main; west on Main to the finish line.
The top male and female overall finishers and top male and female masters (40 and over), will receive a prize, as well as top finishers in each age division. The first 1,000 finishers will receive a custom Zeeland Zoom medal. Prizes can be picked up at City Hall on Wednesday, June 23.
Packet pick up and on-site registration is at The Howard Miller Community Center & Library, 14 S. Church St., 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 21; and 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 22.
