LANSING, MI (WJXQ) – We are now in the “100 Deadliest Days” for teenage drivers, according to AAA Michigan.
In Michigan, an average of 22 teen drivers are involved in deadly crashes between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Safety officials fear that number could go up as we emerge from the pandemic and more youngsters begin traveling further from home.
The auto club adds there were 247 people killed in teen driver crashes in the past decade in Michigan and over 7,000 have died nationwide in the same time.
