FERRYSBURG, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Both motorists were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Ferrysburg late on Monday (May 3, 2021) morning.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Christopher Dill, first responders were dispatched round 11:30 AM. “Investigation at the scene shows that a … minivan was southbound on 168th Avenue, driven by a 77-year-old Muskegon (woman),” Dill said in a department statement. “A (sedan) was westbound on VanWagoner Road, driven by an 85-year-old Spring Lake (man). The (sedan) stopped at the stop sign and proceeded into the intersection. The (minivan) disregarded the stop sign and struck the (sedan).”
Both drivers suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to Dill, with the man refusing medical treatment at the scene, and the woman taken to an undisclosed area hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
