The 92nd Annual Tulip Time Festival kicks off Saturday, May 1, 2021.
Yes, COVID-19 has forced a few changes: No parades. No Dutch Dances. Still, an array of other events are planned, and millions of tulips are ready for visitors.
Pure Michigan’s Dave Lorenz says festivals celebrating heritage are important connecting events.
“It’s a really unique European culture that the community has held onto and shown pride in,” he told WHTC. “That’s really important. This is one of those things that brings us together. Festivals and events bring us together as communities. If there’s ever a time when we need that, it’s right now.”
Midwest Communications has a dedicated page for your convenience. Festival vistors are invited to share their photos and experiences with WHTC at whtc.com/tulip-time/#photos
