HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) –Nearly 5,500 Ottawa County residents have COVID-19, as of the county health department’s latest statistics, and 374 county residents have died after getting the virus.
In Allegan County, where now more than 73 people are testing positive on a rolling 7-day average, 1,854 people are still ill and 124 Allegan County residents have died.
Holland Hospital‘s dashboard shows 23 patients now being treated for severe COVID-19 symptoms or complications. the highest number in weeks.
In a Facebook post Friday, April 16, 2021, Spectrum Health officials made this appeal to the public: “Today, 282 patients with COVID-19 are hospitalized at Spectrum Health. That’s a 432 percent increase from this time last month. Our frontline team members continue to show great dedication to caring for patients while working under tremendous stress.
