Robert Amaya, 52, of Holland, passed away on April 6, 2021, in Holland Hospital.
Robert was born April 13, 1968, in Muskegon, to Jose and Blanca (Marinez) Amaya. Robert graduated from Muskegon Catholic High School and later started his 30 plus year career at Donnelly-Magna in 1987. He married Paulene Keuvelaar in 1993, and they raised their three children in Holland. They are members of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Robert was an excellent pool player, golfer, and bowler. In the last year, Robert made a hole-in-one, and over his bowling career, he had six 300 games.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Paulene, children, and grandchildren: Ashley and Ben Holler (Henry, Olivia) of Pennsylvania, Emiley Amaya (Theodore) of Holland, Robert Amaya (Isaac, Skylar, Iris) of Holland. God blessed Robert and Paulene with six beloved grandchildren whom they love so deeply. Robert will be dearly missed.
He is also survived by his parents Jose and Blanca Amaya of Muskegon, brothers: Jose Jr. and Brenda Amaya, Alex and Sheila Amaya; in-laws: Gary Swope, Bob, and Terri Keuvelaar, Leon Keuvelaar, Jim and Jenny Keuvelaar, Janet and Rory Kidder, Joanie Keuvelaar, Rex and Julie Keuvelaar, Shawn and Kerri Keuvelaar, Peggy and Tom Jablonski, Robin Keuvelaar, and many extended families.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 501 E. 24th Street, Holland MI 49423. Visitation is 5:00-7:00 pm Friday, also at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Interment will be in North Holland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church.
