Kenneth (Bud) Hulst, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at the age of 94.
Bud was born on August 27, 1926, served in the Navy’s Pacific Theater in WWII and returned to Holland where he had a long and successful career as a carpenter. He was an active and devoted member of the Christian Reformed Church, serving as an Elder and Deacon. In retirement he gave his time and skills as a volunteer with CRWRC and other charities, building and repairing homes for those in need.
Bud was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who considered family his greatest treasure. He brought much joy to his family and leaves us with many wonderful memories.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Sally Hulst, his five children: Les (Carole) Hulst, Don (Barbara) Hulst, Kathy (Lloyd) Lubbers, Mary (Dale) Flanery, and Tom (Carol) Hulst; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by infant twin daughters. He is also survived by his brother, Dale (Lois) Hulst, and sister Beverly Kemme.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 6th at Graafschap Christian Reformed Church, 5973 Church Street Holland. Visitation with the family will be from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m, the service will begin at 11 a.m and the burial will be in East Saugatuck Cemetery.
