HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – City of Holland residents are getting a spring cleaning break from City Hall.
In a Transportation Services Department statement on Tuesday (Mar. 30, 2021), city Street Superintendent Scott Boeve said, “Holland’s Annual Spring Cleanup has been extended from April 4 through 11. Residents may rake yard clippings, shrub trimmings, and wind-blown twigs to the curb or road shoulders for pickup by Street Department Crews. Heavy limbs, stumps, garbage and bagged refuse will not be removed and must be disposed of by other means.
“Beginning Monday, April 12th, a single pass will be made through the City to pick up lawn refuse. Priority will be given to streets with curb and gutter to minimize the possibility of debris washing into storm sewers.
“All Holland households are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to clean and beautify their yards for the coming Spring and Summer. Residents who were unable to take advantage of curbside pick during Spring Cleanup may call to receive a Project Pride Coupon. Two coupons are available to residents yearly. This coupon allows residents to transport a load of refuse to Republic Services at no charge to them. Please call 355-1330 to learn more about Project Pride Coupons.”
