INDIANAPOLIS, IN (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan State University is out of the Big Ten Tournament after losing to Maryland 68-57 in Indianapolis yesterday.
Malik Hall led the Spartans with a career-high 19 points.
MSU ends the regular season with a 15-and-12 record and will have to wait until Sunday to find out if they will play in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
Maryland takes on top seed University of Michigan Friday.
The season is over for perennial powerhouse Duke. The Blue Devils withdrew from the ACC Tournament before Thursday’s quarterfinal against Florida State after a positive COVID-19 test within the program.
It ends Duke’s streak of 24 straight trips to the NCAA Tournament.
