HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a Tallmadge Township crash just before 11:15 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies learned that a 60-year-old Mears man driving a 2017 Ford truck was headed east on Ironwood, when he collided with a 2007 Saturn that had been southbound on Johnson, according to Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Wildfong.
The Saturn’s driver, a 22-year-old Zeeland woman, told police she’d stopped for the stop sign. When she pulled into the intersection, police said, she drove into the path of the truck.
The Saturn’s driver suffered what police called non-life-threatening injuries and went by ambulance to the hospital. The driver of the truck, treated at the scene for minor injuries, did not go to the hospital. The Saturn’s driver got ticketed for failure to yield right of way.
