PARK TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – An 11-year-old child is expected to recover from injuries sustained after being hit by a vehicle on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Greg Rotman, the unnamed girl was attempting to cross Riley Street at 160th Avenue just before 4 PM when she stepped in front of a westbound automobile. “The 11-year-old did not see a 2007 Buick Rendezvous,” Rotman said.
The girl was taken to Holland Hospital for treatment of what Rotman called “non-life threatening” injuries. The unnamed 16-year-old local boy driving the car was not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
