HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 24-year-old Holland Township man was rushed to Holland Hospital with life-threatening injuries after a traffic crash just after 3:15 p.m. Friday, Feb 19, 2021.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Greg Rotman indicated the crash happened when the man, driving a 2019 Chevy Blazer east on Riley Street failed to stop for a red light at 112th Avenue. The Blazer hit the back of a 216 International box delivery truck, also headed east on Riley, according to Rotman.
The force of the crash sent of Blazer off the road, ejecting the driver, Rotman said.
The truck driver, a 48-year-old Byron Center man, was not hurt, according to police.
Rotman indicated alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
