HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 35-year-old Holland Township man crashed into a snowplow just after 5 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021. He later told police he did not see the plow, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Wildfong.
Both vehicles had been eastbound on Quincy Street near John F. Donnelly Drive.
He and his passenger, a 40-year-old West Olive man, were pinned in to their 2008 GMC Acadia, when it rolled into a ditch after the crash. The older man was able to extricate himself before first responders arrived. Holland Township firefighters extricated the driver. Both went by AMR Ambulance to Holland Hospital for treatment of what police indicated were non-life-threatening injuries.
The 19-year-old Holland Township man operating the snow plow wasn’t hurt, police said.
