HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — An Allegan County statement emailed to media is both thanking current volunteers and looking for more to support COVID-19 vaccination clinics.
The county’s emergency management and public health have seen 368 clinical and non-clinical volunteers sign up, so far. They are asking for patience as officials coordinate people, facilities, clinical resources, and vaccine delivery of the vaccine, all of which has been characterized as “a monumental challenge.”
Volunteers appear set for the remainder of January, with county officials now scheduling volunteers for February and March clinics.
“This will be a very long and demanding process for many months ahead, according to the county statement.
Anyone else interested in volunteering should sign up at the Michigan Volunteer Registry, mivolunteerregistry.org and complete an online profile.
