CHICAGO (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 5, 2026) – The Pere Marquette passenger train service through Holland is down.
Amtrak officials announced that routes 370 and 371 have been suspended through at least Monday due to heavy rains near Coloma on Friday that washed out the ground underneath a portion of the track there. The eastbound service was canceled on Saturday afternoon, with the westbound service halted on Sunday morning.
Bus transportation has been provided by Amtrak for passengers holding tickets for the train. No timetable as to when the Pere Marquette service would resume has been announced.
