HUDSONVILLE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 31, 2026) – A 70-year-old Hudsonville woman was seriously hurt after being struck by a vehicle while walking late on Tuesday morning.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Michael Tamminga, the unnamed pedestrian was walking on the sidewalk along Balsam Drive near Winter Street around 11:40 AM. While attempting to cross a driveway, she was hit by a pickup truck that was attempting to pull out onto the roadway.
The woman was taken by LIFE EMS to an undisclosed “local hospital” for treatment. The pickup driver, a 62-year-old Hudsonville man, was not hurt. The incident remains under investigation.
