GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 24, 2026) – Four months after a shooting incident outside of a business establishment on Holland’s North Side, a 48-year-old Holland man was sentenced.
Andrew Louis Harper was ordered to serve between 22 and 75 years in prison by 20th Circuit Court Judge Jon Hulsing on Monday, after pleading no contest to assault with intent to murder, a felony firearm count, and being a four-time habitual offender. A charge of assault with a dangerous weapon was dismissed.
Last November 15th, Harper and two other men got into an argument inside of the unnamed business off of Douglas Avenue between Lakewood and River avenues. The accused then left the scene, returned with a weapon, and started shooting outside, wounding a 27-year-old Jenison man and a 25-year-old Holland man.
Hulsing cited a similar incident involving Harper in 2005 in handing down his sentence.
