GRAND HAVEN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 22, 2026) – Three women were hurt following a two-vehicle crash south of Grand Haven on Sunday morning.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Jon Knott following the collision near the intersection of US-31 and Ferris Street shortly before 10 AM. A northbound vehicle that had stopped for a red signal light was rear-ended by another northbound vehicle, which caused that stopped vehicle to burst into flames.
The 35-year-old driver of the second vehicle, along with her 39-year-old passenger, both of whom are from Fennville, were able to escape safely and was treated at the scene for bumps and bruises. The 16-year-old Jenison girl piloting the apparent at-fault vehicle was taken to an unnamed “area hospital” with non-life threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
