GEORGETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 17, 2026) – A four-vehicle pileup in Jenison hospitalized the apparent at-fault driver on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Michael Tamminga, first responders were dispatched to the intersection of 18th Avenue and Rosewood Street around 4:15 PM. That is where a northbound pickup went through a red light, slammed into a westbound minivan, crossed the center line, and hit a stopped southbound vehicle, which was then pushed back into the grill of another stopped vehicle behind it.
A 45-year-old Hudsonville man driving the truck that started the mishap was taken to an undisclosed “local hospital” with non-life threatening injuries. An unnamed person in one of the other vehicles was treated for bumps and bruises at the scene, while the other motorists involved were reportedly not hurt.
Tamminga didn’t go into any details as to what led the Hudsonville man to drive through the red light and trigger the crash, as the incident remains under investigation.
