Ann Wolters Fredrickson, 97, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in South Haven, Michigan at Laurel Oaks of South Haven Assisted Living Facility. Ann was born in Holland, Michigan to Edward J. Wolters and Laura (Lemmen) Wolters on October 21, 1928.
She graduated from Hope College in 1950, and subsequently married Philip Fredrickson who also attended Hope. Ann and Phil moved to Clearwater, Florida where they raised two children. Ann worked as an elementary school teacher and was active in her church and Junior League of Clearwater. She loved to golf, sew, play bridge, go to the beach, and visit with friends. She lived in Florida for over 25 years, but ultimately moved back to Holland, Michigan where Phil worked at Hope College and he and Ann were Dorm Parents for one of the freshmen dorms. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by Philip, her husband of 56 years.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Sara Fredrickson (Mary Jane Hill) and son, Tom Fredrickson (Julie), and 3 grandchildren, Emily Fredrickson, Stephen Fredrickson, and Andrew Hill.
No funeral or services are planned. A private memorial service will be held at a future point in time.
Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Downtown Chapel.
