Kristi was born on February 18, 1964, in Holland, Michigan, to Doris McMillian and Carl Wayne Simonsen. She lived her life quietly but with great heart, always focused on caring for others and loving her family.
She was the proud mother of two sons, Corey and Ronald Kaboni, and a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren, whom she loved deeply. Being with her grandchildren brought her true happiness, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. Kristi also enjoyed traveling to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, where she loved camping and spending time outdoors with those she loved.
Kristi was a lifelong caregiver who dedicated herself to providing comfort and peace to individuals and their families. Caring for others was not just her work—it was who she was. She was known for her kindness, her patience, and the compassion she showed to everyone she met. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she remained a devoted follower of Christ, living her beliefs through her actions and the way she treated others.
Kristi was preceded in death by her father, Carl Wayne Simonsen. She will be remembered for her caring heart, her quiet strength, and the love she gave so freely to her family and to those she cared for throughout her life.
A service to celebrate Kristi’s life will be 2:00pm Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland. with a visitation following the service at the funeral home until 4:00pm.
