Both of Grand Valley State’s basketball teams advanced at home in GLIAC tournament quarterfinal action last night. MacKenzie Bisballe had 18 points as the women downed visiting Lake Superior State, 89-45. David Wilkerson came off of the bench to tally 25 points as the Lakers defeated visiting Wayne State’s men, 81-67. On Saturday, GVSU’s men play Michigan Tech in Marquette, while the women entertain Northern Michigan at the Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale.
In the Horizon League tournament last night, Detroit Mercy advanced over Milwaukee, 84-63, but Oakland was eliminated by Northern Kentucky, 85-84. This evening in Big 10 play, Rutgers is at Michigan State at Michigan is at Iowa.

Tomas Hertl’s goal 2:11 into overtime lifted the visiting Vegas Golden Knights over the Red Wings last night, 4-3. Detroit entertains the Florida Panthers at Little Caesars Arena tomorrow evening, with broadcast time at 6:45 PM on WHTC Holland’s Cool FM.
