HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 19, 2026) – Two motorists were hospitalized following a collision at one of the Holland area’s busiest intersections during the overnight hours on Thursday.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Kyle Zwak, a southbound vehicle on US-31, driven by a 27-year-old Holland man, apparently went through a red light at James Street around 4:45 AM and slammed into another vehicle, which was crossing the junction on a green traffic signal. The second vehicle’s driver, a 51-year-old Zeeland woman, had to be extricated by rescue workers. Both motorists were subsequently taken to “local hospitals” in stable condition.
No names were disclosed as the incident remains under investigation, and anyone with any information is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
