GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 16, 2026) – It’s an annual rite of spring.
At 6 AM on Monday, a number of road commissions in West Michigan will impose seasonal weight and speed restrictions on county roads. This includes both Ottawa and Allegan County, according to Ottawa County Road Commission spokesman Alex Doty.
So what does that mean for truckers?
These restrictions normally last about six weeks, depending on weather conditions.
The state will impose similar restrictions on trunk roads on Tuesday evening at 6 PM.
