HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 4, 2026) – It is one thing to help the needy during the Christmas holiday season, when such thoughts are front-of-mind. It’s another to have such sentiments in the middle of winter, when the need is just as great, if not greater.
The 38th annual Walk for Warmth is set for Friday, February 20th, and for the fourth straight year, it will be stepping off from the EV Construction offices (86 E. Sixth St.) in downtown Holland. Organized by the Ottawa County Community Action Agency, it raises money for one-time efforts to keep utilities on for financially qualifying families who had received shut-off notices through pledges, donations, event sponsors, and an online silent auction.
According to Program Director for OCCAA Jennifer Brozowski, the goal is $15,000 after more than $12,000 was raised last year.
The Ottawa County Walk for Warmth begins at 5:30 PM, and the course taken will be determined by weather conditions at that time. An online link for more information and to register is here.
