James Eric Knooihuizen, 55, of Holland, passed away December 6, 2025.
James graduated from Holland High School in 1989. He was an avid Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers fan. He enjoyed volunteering with Holland Hospital. Elvis was James’ favorite musician. James’ was a faithful follower of Jesus.
James is preceded in death by his lovely wife Lisa Knooihuizen and his birth mother, Cindy McDermott.
James is survived by his parents, Pieter and Arloa Knooihuizen of Bozeman, MT; sisters, Michelle Daniels of Holland, MI and Sara (Christopher) Elushik of Bozeman, MT; brothers, Pieter (Judy) Knooihuizen of Fruitport, MI and Scott Knooihuizen. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2025 at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, December 11, at the funeral home.
