WAYLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 8, 2025) – A 66-year-old Wayland man lost his life after apparently being struck by a vehicle in his hometown in the predawn hours on Monday.
No names were disclosed by the Wayland Police Department following the incident around 7:20 AM of West Superior Street near the US-131 junction. The man was found lying in the roadway, and was pronounced dead by the Kent County Medical Examiner’s Office after being taken to an unnamed “Grand Rapids hospital.”
No other details surrounding the incident were immediately revealed as the matter remains under investigation.
