Jalen Charity had 20 points as the Lakers took out visiting Grace Christian’s men in the opener, 100-46. Nicole Kamin tallied 19 points as the women disposed of visiting Northwood in the nightcap, 81-56. The two GVSU teams begin MIAA play this coming Thursday night, when Lake Superior State comes to the Fieldhouse Arena for a twin bill.

Connor Bedard scored two third period goals, the first of which midway through the stanza snapped a 3-3 tie, as the Blackhawks bested the visiting Anaheim Ducks at the United Center yesterday, 5-3. Chicago skates in Las Vegas against the Vegas Golden Knights tomorrow evening.
